Diy Gadgets announces issuance of Indian Patent covering a portable, safe, user friendly, ROHS (Restriction of hazardous substances) compliant UVC (Ultra Violet Ray C Type) sterilizer to sterilise everyday use objects, in a convenient manner, without infecting the user. The UVC sterilizer, Magic Rays box, is a top down sterilizer, which is doorless, available in small to large form factors, portable, very light and can be carried anywhere. Magic Rays box works with regular AC supply and can as well work with very small 12 volt, DC batteries.

 

The person utilising the Magic Rays box UVC sterilizer is saved from the hazard of contracting infection due to its patented zero touch, top down, door-less design Thus Magic Rays box eliminates the hazard of contracting infection by inadvertently touching  infected daily use items, such as courier boxes, keys, wallets, belts, jackets, grocery bags, IT hardware etc.

 

Indian Patents Office had issued Indian Patent No. 389042. The patent is valid for 20 years, starting from 13th March 2021. This adds to Diy Gadgets Intellectual Property Rights in a formal manner.

 

About Magic Rays Box Patent

The patent is owned by Diy Gadgets Private Limited, and the product has been developed, designed, and invented by Anurag Jain, Vijay Shekhar Shukla and Vikas Singh.

 

Backgrounder of the invention

 

• Once Corona epidemic started, we all struggled to keep ourselves free from Corona. We struggled with removing all sources of possible infections from our homes. When we went outside, we tried our best to disinfect our accessories and clothes, took a warm bath, and tried all means to avoid viruses.

 

• Unfortunately, disinfecting our accessories, was a task, and there was always a chance of virus sneaking into our home thru them.  Very soon, we realized that UVC is a solution for this. We Purchased 3 different UVC boxes, and thought that we are safe. However, we were always running the chance of infecting our hands, when we touched the courier or grocery bags from outside, or even from our personal accessories. Even while keeping goods inside a UVC box, we were likely infecting the handle. Moreover, all these UVC Boxes were dangerous to use, a breakage of a lamp would cause major health hazard. Moreover,  they were crude and heavy, had to be fixed inside the home, also overpowered making them too dangerous for a Home User.

 

• We realized that a better engineered product is a need. After months of lab hrs, sleepless nights, March 2021, we were ready with the product.

 

• Our earlier experience dictated that this time, we should go in for a patent. We applied on 13th March 2021, on 11th Feb 2022, our patent was granted.
