Can I put clothes in the UV-C Box

Surprisingly, many of our customers are using the Magic Box for freshening up clothes. Many reported that mildly smelly clothes smelled good after one hour of disinfection. Some said that its not wise to put clothes in wash which have been worn for 4 – 5 hours only, like party wear, blazers, sweaters, shawls. The UVC rays kills bacteria and viruses efficiently.

However, please note that you can put clothes in UV-C boxes which are engineered well, and have calculated UV-C doses. You may safely put clothes in LED based UVC boxes, which have dose calculated.

Never put clothes on UV-C boxes operated with UV-C lamps, which gets heated up. This can create a fire hazard.

Also, do not over stack the box with clothes. Ensure One (large clothe like sweaters, Blazers, overcoats) or Two clothes (smaller ones like a shirt) is the maximum you should put. This will give you best results. If you wish to use Blazer or overcoat, ensure that the box is large enough to accommodate them, as the UVC works on surface disinfection only.
